The 482 visa involves three stages: employer becomes an eligible sponsor, employer lodges a nomination, and then the applicant lodges the visa application. Three streams are available: Core Skills (CSOL occupations), Specialist Skills (non-CSOL, $135,000+ minimum salary), and Labour Agreement. After 2 years, a pathway to the 186 permanent visa may be available.
Relevant credentials and employment history required for the nominated occupation.
Minimum 1 year full-time equivalent in the occupation within the past 5 years.
Functional English proficiency required.
Core Skills: $73,150 or market rate (whichever is higher); Specialist Skills: $135,000 minimum.
Appropriate health insurance coverage must be maintained.
Standard requirements apply. Government debts must be repaid.
