The 884 permits aged parents to reside in Australia for a 24-month period while awaiting permanent 864 visa processing. Upon lodging the 864 application onshore, applicants receive a bridging visa enabling continued residence during adjudication.
Must have a child or children in Australia as a permanent resident or Australian citizen.
At least half of your children or stepchildren must be settled permanent residents or Australian citizens. No waivers available under any circumstances.
