The program is for aged relatives with a demonstrated long-term dependency on their Australian sponsor. An Assurance of Support bond ($5,000 for one person; $7,000 for two) is required for 2 years from arrival.
Must be 67 years or older at the time of application.
Must have been dependent on the sponsor for food, clothing, and shelter for at least 3 years.
Sponsor must be a near relative and settled permanent resident or citizen.
Cannot be in a relationship.
Standard requirements apply. Exceptions may allow approval.
Any debts must be repaid or under a repayment agreement.
