The 601 ETA and 651 eVisitor are almost instant and free or very low cost for eligible passport holders. The Subclass 600 has four streams: Tourist (outside Australia), Tourist (inside Australia — high risk), Business Visitor, and Family Sponsored. Employment is prohibited; up to 3 months study permitted on the 600.
Must hold a passport from an approved ETA or eVisitor country.

Requires compelling or compassionate circumstances; classified high-risk.
Business activities permitted (negotiations, government meetings, conferences); no Australian employment.
Sponsor must be an Australian citizen, PR, or NZ citizen resident for 2+ years.
Must satisfy health and character checks and demonstrate financial capacity.
