The Subclass 802 grants permanent residency for eligible children who are in Australia at the time of application.
Must generally be under 18 with exceptions for full-time students or those with a disability.
Must be in Australia at the time of application.
Must be a biological child, adopted child, or stepchild (adoption must meet intercountry standards).
Child must depend on the sponsoring parent.
Applicants over 18 cannot be married or in de facto relationships.
Standard health and character assessments required. Government debts must be resolved.
