The 445 allows an indefinite stay until the sponsor’s permanent visa is granted, at which point the child transfers to the parent’s permanent visa.
Generally under 18 years old. Applicants over 18 must be studying full-time or living with a disability.
Sponsor must hold either a 309 or 820 visa.
If applying domestically, must not hold a ‘No Further Stay’ condition.
Applicants over 18 cannot be married or in a de facto relationship.
Standard health and character requirements apply. Exceptions may still allow grant.
No outstanding debts to the Australian government, or a repayment agreement must be in place.
