The visa offers two pathways: Vocational Education stream (18 months duration) and Higher Education stream (2–3 years duration). Hong Kong and BNO passport holders may receive up to 5 years.
Must have completed at least 2 years of full-time study in Australia. At least 16 months must have been completed while holding an authorised student visa.
Must have completed studies and been awarded the qualification within the last 6 months.
Must be 35 or younger (up to 50 for Hong Kong and BNO passport holders).
IELTS 6.5 minimum (no individual score under 5.5) from the last 12 months, or equivalent.
Must hold a student visa or have applied for the 485 within 6 months of student visa expiry.
