The program grants permanent residency to parents meeting pension age requirements (currently 67 years). Upon lodgement, a bridging visa is issued for temporary stay during processing. An Assurance of Support bond is required: $5,000 for one parent; $7,000 for two, valid for 2 years.
Must have a child or children as a permanent resident or Australian citizen.
At least half of your children must be settled permanent residents or Australian citizens.
Primary applicant must reach Australian pension age (67 years) at the time of application.
Applicant’s child who is a settled permanent resident or citizen must provide Assurance of Support and accommodation.
Standard requirements apply. Exceptions may still allow approval.
Must repay or arrange repayment for any Australian government debts.
